Vehicle description
Vehicle Details This yellow/orange 1975 Volkswagen Microbus is exactly what you've been looking for. Functional, clean, and appears to be have been stored in New Mexico a very long time. Out of production for decades and there's still strong demand for the legendary VW Microbus, especially those with the Westfalia camper « Kamper » conversion. The bodywork is in decent shape, but does have some minor dents. It has original badges, lenses, and windows. The pop-up tent needs repair. The portable galley, the built-in stainless sink, the various seating and dining configurations, and a bright, airy interior make it an excellent choice, then and today. The cabinetry is in fair condition, and the major parts appear to be there. The underside is clean and rust-free and it tracks straight on the open road. Power comes from a familiar air-cooled Volkswagen 1700cc flat-four, straight out of the Beetle. It was recently serviced and runs well. It isn't very fast or powerful, but it is reliable and virtually maintenance-free. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts well, but reverse takes some fitness to find. It's easy to get the hang of the bus-like steering, with the front wheels right under your seat. I am listing this rare bus for my friend, Robert. I will put serious bidders directly in touch with him, so that you can arrange to see and drive it yourself. Images Download the Motors app
