This is a no reserve auction for a 1971 VOLVO P1800E.

Fuel injected. 130HP. 4 Speed manual with overdrive. 4 wheel disc brakes. Leather seats. Factory alloy wheels.
This is an honest full disclosure listing. This P1800 has been well loved, maintained and continuously registered, insured and driven and has a clear CT title. Never crashed. Numbers matching. I have known and worked on this car for the last 12 years. It is a very solid driver with a strong engine and silky 4 speed manual transmission with functioning overdrive. The car runs and drives great. No smoke. No smells. Does not burn oil. Very small leak under center/middle of car after a drive. It always starts and has great acceleration. With the exception of the heater blower motor and radio, everything works on this car. It will require tires as they are getting down on the tread. There are a few other issues that some TLC will take care of. The alloy wheel paint is failing. The differential is whining a little indicating it is due for bearings. There are a few areas of rust showing behind the rear wheels, and ahead of the front wheels that are shown in the pictures. There is a scratch at the left front wheel opening. There is a chip at the right front wheel opening. There are no dents. The chrome is showing its age, is cloudy and the left front bumper has some plating that has bubbled. The tail light chrome has some acne. See pictures. The car has had a tune up, oil and filter change, rebuilt alternator, new voltage regulator and new battery along with some older rubber fuel lines replaced in the last 30 miles. In 2010 the car was color changed from yellow to green. The paint job was done with all the glass out, engine and transmission out, wiring and components removed, interior and trunk areas striped, prepped, primed and painted as well. Outriggers replaced with factory sheet metal in a professional manner. At the same time the suspension, drive line and brake work was done.The frame is extremely solid with some surface rust only as seen in the pictures. The paint was never color sanded and buffed so it shows some orange peel, slight shrinkage, a few dirt nibs, a couple small fish eyes and there is a run on the trunk lid. It was painted with PPG catalyzed single stage urethane paint. The paint label with color code is in the notes folder. Ever inch of the car was painted green. Even under the hood, engine bay, trunk, door jambs and interior. There is only one small area on the underside of the trunk lid that shows the yellow where the sound deadener has lifted slightly. This can be seen in the pictures. The car was reassembled with all new rubber seals for glass, lights, doors, trunk and hood. In 2010 the brakes were done, new wheel bearings and seals and the suspension bushings were done. The engine and transmission were detailed and resealed as well as a new clutch, clutch cable and valve job. The LEATHER interior and carpets were also redone. The original headliner is excellent. Car runs twin trumpet air horns. The car comes with alloy spare wheel/tire, battery maintainer, owner"s manual, shop manual, Volvo buyers guide, jack with crank handle, 4 way lug wrench, service records, mileage log book, restoration notes, original working voltage regulator, car cover and misc bits.
