Vehicle description
You are looking at a truly rare find! I am selling this un-restored, all original 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham complete with ACRS! This is a two owner car from new with the second owner purchasing the car in May of 1980. This Cadillac still retains its original paint, top, trim, engine, transmission and stunning interior! This is a time capsule that has been stored since 1982 and has only been driven 73,852 in the 7 years it was on the road, thats just about 10,000 miles per year! When the car was stored the interior was covered with bed sheets to protect it in case the car cover it was under came off so it would not get exposed to the sun. When you open the door you are catapulted back to 1975 with the supple leather that reminds you of a favorite chair, the wide split bench front power seats, large rear seating with foot rests and shag style carpet all finished in light blue with faux wood accents!
What sets this car apart from the rest is the RARE General Motors ACRS (Air Cushion Restrain System), this was GM"s prototype air bag system for front passengers. ACRS was first introduced in the Chevrolet Impala ad Caprice as experimental fleet units. The ACRS was later introduced into some Buick, Oldsmobile and Cadillac models until 1976 when the program was discontinued. Cadillac"s were sold with the ACRS option (RPO AR3) for the 1974-1976 model year. An estimated 430 out of 264,731 Cadillac"s manufactured for that year were sold with RPO AR3 making this a very rare 1 of 430!
The pictures do not truly tell the story of this great running and driving Fleetwood Brougham. The original pain has many blemishes with surface rust only and we wanted to keep it that way. The interior is exactly the way it came from the assembly line without blemishes, rips, tares, are fading and it has that distinct Cadillac leather smell! The carpet is as plush as it was in 1975 and has n signs of wear. We have gone through this car from top to bottom. Mechanically we have completed a full tune up with new plugs and wires, the original carburetor has been rebuilt, new hoses were installed, a full lube, oil and filter service has been completed and of course a brand new battery was installed.
The gas tank was removed, emptied and cleaned before being re-installed. All of the fuel lines have been replaced. All new brake shoes all the way around have been installed along with new white side wall all season tires. All of the electronics work including the power seats, windows, door locks, horn, cruise control and lights.
This is a great luxury car that will put a smile on your face every time you look at it. I have the original title and paperwork from the second owner dated 1980 along with receipts for all of the work I have done to bring it back to its almost former condition.
The car is located in Rockville Maryland and can be seen by appointment. Please ask me any questions prior to placing a bid or making an offer.
