Vehicle description

Vehicle Details I’m sad to see this car go, but I recently bought a new daily so it’s no longer practical to keep hanging on to. I am firm on the price, and if you read this whole description you’ll understand why. You’d be getting a whole lot of car for the money. This 2012 WRX Limited is currently packing 290 wheel horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. It’s painted with a special, sort-of textured “rally paint,” which prevents mud/water from sticking to the surface. When I purchased this car in December 2019, the seller was either dishonest or unaware of the condition of the engine, which had a catastrophic failure a few hundred miles into my ownership of the car. The engine was rebuilt by the WRX Specialist at Bird Road Subaru. So many components were replaced with new OEM parts, including the engine block, head gaskets/bolts, radiator. I even replaced the catalytic converter since the previous owner had the exhaust straight-piped. Needless to say it was a sour start to my relationship with the car, but I’m glad I got it out of the way because it’s been great since then. Once back up and running, I had the car pro-tuned by Machines Gone Wild in Miami (they are known for tuning Subarus). That was about 8 months ago, and I’ve had no engine troubles since then. I’ll include a picture of the dyno sheet. Since I am a newbie to driving on snow/ice, I experienced understeer and slid this car into a curb a couple weeks ago, just as I was preparing to sell it. Only the front left wheel was hit, but it also displaced the driver’s side fender cap and side skirt a little bit (see exterior images). Most likely needs new clips and a bit of labor to get them back in place, but nothing is out of shape. All of the suspension damage has already been repaired (Midas on Washtenaw ave took great care of me!), but the damage to the wheel itself remains. Since the tube of the wheel is slightly out of shape, it is causing an imbalance and vibration. For the sake of steering safety and ride comfort, the damaged wheel has been moved to the left rear. If you’re paying close attention, you can feel the vibration moving at any speed. It doesn’t become obvious until you get above 50mph, but then it’s hard to ignore. On the damaged wheel, the car is drivable, but it won’t handle well and it isn’t comfy. If you plan on purchasing this car, I seriously recommend swapping out this wheel right away. I’d also recommend swapping these all-season tires for true snow tires; that would have made a major difference in my case.
