Vehicle description

Up for auction an original paint Willys m38a1 and matching Strick m100 trailer. . nice “as released” from the military. Jeep is in excellent condition for the year. .the body is in great shape, there is almost no rust through in the hat channels or floors. The toolbox interior is like new, the rear portion of the jeep fender wells is also great. No rust in the floor to fender seam. Only The front fenders show some damage from pushing against something. they’ve been straightened out but they are slightly wrinkled Mounted on the jeep is a civilian version of the Ramsey 5000# winch. I’ve been told it came off of a military jeep when I bought it but I am not certain of that. It is not firmly mounted to the chassis right now it is only placed there for pictures. I do have the PTO shifter and most likely the driveshaft but I have not assembled it. Engine was operational a few years ago I’ve been told by previous owner. It does turns over nicely and has good compression. Has all of its original 24 V and waterproof components. I’m going to try and get it running before the auction ends. .it has been cannibalized for the regulator and some wiring, most likely by the military before being released. Trailer is also a very nice original paint piece. has its original markings and is in pretty good shape, has not been cut for a tailgate. the floor has slight rust through in a few spots and easily repairable.
This is one of the nicest original military M38a1 jeeps that I have come across in many years! Its a perfect candidate for easy restoration as it is entirely original even down to the tires. Personally I would leave it as it is . fix the brakes ,tuneup the engine and use it exactly the way it is. Excellent patina
Sold as is, please message me with questions. * looking for the title . . will update the auction as soon as I have a definite answer thanks*
