Vehicle description
1951 M38 Willys Army jeep. Color Army green (Olive Drab) Transmission 3 speed manual Engine 4 cylinder L-head Fuel Gasoline Serial/VIN # 34183 Fresh frame off restoration 90% complete. This jeep was my dad"s, who was a veteran military vehicle restorer but passed away before he could finish this project. Opportunity for new owner to be "hands-on" in completing a classic restoration.
Jeep has the original 24 volt system, new batteries, new tires, new paint, new seats, new brakes, new glass, and new wiring harness. Old harness is there for reference but new harness, expertly fabricated by my dad (who was an electrical engineer), is not yet connected to lights or instrument panel (both included).
Seat cushions need to be fastened but fasteners included. There are many small parts included that remain to be installed like data plates, footman loops, wipers, some rear seat brackets etc.
Jeep runs perfectly and drives great!
Jeep has a clear Kansas title.
A person with entry level skills could finish this jeep "soup to nuts" (my dad looked for an opportunity to say that), and drive it in the Veterans Day Parade. Priced much lower than an already completed vehicle.
