Vehicle description
1948 CJ2A Painted in the colors of 3 rd Army, 4 th Battalion, 37 th Armored, General George S. Patton’s army that liberated the Nazi besieged city of Bastonge deep in the Ardennes forest during the last major German offensive of WWII - the Battle of the Bulge. Original 6 volt electrical system New cloth wiring harness All new flexible brake lines Rebuilt front slave cylinders, brakes work as well as original. New tires - NDC New paint Windshield has slight tint which is really nice. New transmission and differential seals (still leaks a little here and there – it’s 70 years old!) New clutch & pressure plate New parking brake components New wheel seals Very straight body, (but not perfect). Engine runs great and has the electrical foot starter, starts right up, runs well. Transmission shifts fine. Locking front hubs (not original, but saves a lot of wear). Has spare tire in the original location and the mount is in good shape, not all beat up like they normally are. The rear end has a receiver hitch built in which is not original but a really neat feature and appears to be in good condition. Clear Idaho title. If you drive this, you will be saluted, waved at, cheered, and questioned at stop lights, intersections, and gas stations. Old men will tell you war stories and even the ladies like these.
