Spartan Royal Mansion 1956 40ft Travel Trailer
Up for sale is one of two trailers I have up for sale. What is most important to me when looking at these vintage trailers is the condition of the exterior skin. As shown in the pictures, this trailers skin is in very good condition. A few spots and small dents as shown but nothing big. The one area that needs to be repaired is under the left front window. The wrap around glass is good and that"s a big deal. You will see in the pictures that all the exterior parts are not installed. I have everything on the exterior at home in a box. I think the only thing that I don"t have is the manual doorbell button. I took everything off because they are all very valuable. I also have the door jamb aluminum plaque and little wing plaque that are often missing.
I am a contractor and gutted the inside. The floor is not as bad as it looks but it needs to be patched. I also have both door locks but one has a broken bolt latch and handle and I do not have keys. All parts are available. Windows are all there with one broken glass. You will need to work on the windows and fix or buy any window hardware needed. Also still available. I was going to leave the exterior all vintage original and go modern inside. You can do so much with these trailers.
Tires are all old but still hold air. To move a long distance I would buy new tires, pack the bearings, and put on temp lights.
I got an asbestos test for new owner on floor tiles (clean!). You will get a copy of the test results.
I am not trying to get rich here. I think $5,000 is a very good starting price with meat on the bone. It is in a storage yard in Petaluma, CA, and it can not be worked in in the yard. Here is the good part: If you call me and talk to me I will help you and we can work together. No stress.
Has a clean title and is currently registered.
