For sale is a 1949 Spartan royal mansion. Length is 33ft total and the body is 31ft.
I have a clear title for the camper. This camper is in amazing shape for being 70 years old! I would tow this spartan cross country and it will tow great.
The Spartan has had bearings packed and it has 4 new tires and new rims. The frame is solid with not rotted and tows awesome down the road.
We have restored 24 vintage campers and this was going to be our final project. We bought a season site and since we didn"t work on this year it has to go. This Spartan is in great shape and after all our remodels we can say that even for a beginner this camper will be an easy project to take on. Should not have to replace any wood inside.
On the inside: The floors are very solid. There are no soft spots. It needs new flooring. Over one winter a long time ago a pipe froze in the wall because of winter and so we don"t use the water. There is access panel and I planned to just re plumb to the sink and shower. All water is on one side of camper and in one area so it would not take much. The water heater had worked but I would suggest replacing and put new holding tank in. The electrical works.it was used every year for 45 years at a campground so it"s direct wire but can be easily changed to a plug in style. Because it was used at campground it was taken care of and windows opened often and kept in great shape.
The stove and gas work. And the fridge works but is old. There is no damage to wall panels and the roof inside panels are in great shape also. The back door latch is broke on outside and needs replacing. Both screen doors are still there and also the furnace was said to work by previous owner but I never tried it.
On the outside:
I have shined one half of the camper with phase 1 of buffing . It is turning out great. I will be including one and half jar of compound to finish camper. I shined the passenger side. The outside is in great shape. Small dent in back corner but should be easy to pull it out. Nobody put and tar or anything on roof so it"s in original condition and in great shape. The hitch is a 1 7/8 ball. The underside of the camper is perfect. The taillights do not work and will need a rewire. You will have to get portable lights to tow.
