“This is a great running vehicle for World War 2 history buffs. It's very dependable. The roof is shown in the photos and is included. It won't keep you dry. The bows are in good shape. I usually drive this without roof or the bows attached. It has steel belted radial tires for a smoother ride.” |

Vehicle description
This is an older conversion. 1972 Volkswagen with a Type 1938 body. It was the German version of the Jeep. It"s been a very reliable vehicle over the years. These were quite common in WWII. The roof and window curtains are good for show, but they won"t keep you dry. You can"t really see out of the side curtains. There are 3 curtains. Any VW bug parts will work if something wears out. Finding parts has never been a problem.
The back seat has a rifle rack that holds up to 4 K98 Mausers or other rifles. 4 forward gears, one reverse in a manual transmission.
Plenty of storage behind the rear seat.
I have a trailer and can deliver this for an extra fee of 50 cents per mile.
The configuration is basically German. Added side mirrors are from a US Jeep.
This is a great, dependable vehicle for reenators who don"t want to walk. Great for parades of living history displays. I"ve been reenacting for years and this was always reliable. It doesn"t matter if reenact American, Canadian, British, French, Italian, Russian, or German, this works for everyone. On Aug-30-19 at 06:49:04 PDT, seller added the following information: This is an older conversion. The body is all metal, not Fiberglas. It was not made by Skunkwerks or KoobleKar. I don"t know who made it. Somebody suggested it was a body made in Czechoslovakia, but I have no idea if that is the case. The chasis, as far as I know, is a "72 Beetle.
This is not an original WWII vehicle. If it was, the bidding would be two or three times higher.
