I built this in 2017. I built the plug and then had a mold built and then the one piece shell made. My thought was to make more but I injured my back, and had to focus on other things. Thats why it had a name and a website (no longer exists)
It is 5x8 with a one piece outer fiberglass shell, a 1 inch square welded aluminum frame , FRP in side, and with plastic foil insulation sandwiched in between. The floor is made out of a material called Coosa Board which is a fiberglass foam wood replacement composite. The doors are made by another manufacturer and the base frame it sits on is made by Northern tool. It has a battery and inverter for on grid/ off grid power. It has two 3 inch vents and one small fan that is a weather resistant computer fan that sites in one of the vents. The doors both have windows that open. All of the materials are made to last. My idea was that it should never rot because there is no wood!
It weighs less than 800lbs and is super minimalist. The idea was it was between a tent an RV.
The inside photos are decorated for effect, it is sold empty.
I have camped in it a dozen times and had a great time. I have a family of 4 so this does not quite do it, and it bums me out that it is just sitting there. . You can tow it with pretty much anything and it is super fun to take out with one or two people. It is lite enough that I have unhooked it and pushed it into tiny camping spots. We always slept with the windows open for proper ventilation. The LED lights will work for quite a while off grid, as will charging small devices. A Keurig tends to drain the system fast, as does a little space heater, but if its plugged in it bypasses the battery and uses 110v. It has a GFIC plug outside and inside has a GFCI, 12v Lighter and USB plugs.
I am not a professional trailer builder or an electrician. This has not been inspected or licensed. Depending on where you live it may or may not need inspection and licensing to be legally on the road. It has no kitchen so your state may not consider it an RV. Buyer does all due diligence for that as I am not an expert.
Buyer assumes all responsibility for verifying that the Electrical, Ventilation and everything else is adequate and safe. Buyer will also need to sign a Bill of sale with a liability waiver acknowledge this was homemade and has not been professionally inspected. (see below)
