Vehicle description

I reluctantly selling my beautiful little Taylorcraft. Times are as follows but are subject to change because we are still flying the airplane.
Total time on the airframe is 4265 Engine is a Continental A65-8. Total time on the engine is 1190 Time since major overhaul is 580 (done in 1997). Time since top overhaul is close to 15 hours (done in January 2017).
The reason for the top overhaul was due to oil leaks around the push rod tubes, lifter covers, and cylinder base Orings. Compressions were all good but since I had it apart I replaced all 4 pistons, piston pins, rocker shafts, die checked all rocker shaft bosses, ground valve seats, replaced all 8 lifters, new piston rings, cleaned, inspected, and honed all 4 cylinders that checked within standard limits. All new seals and gaskets, and no oil leaks now after about 15 hours. The little engine runs perfectly with compressions all high 70"s, oil pressure is around 40psi. Last completely restored to show quality standards around 1990 and has been hangared and pampered ever since. The inside structure such as all the wood, ribs, steel tubing, etc look absolutely brand new as if they were completed yesterday. Everything was epoxy primed and painted, all wood has urethane varnish, fabric is Stits/polyfiber process still in near perfect condition. The paint has very small and very minor rash blemishes as any fabric airplane would have after a year or so but this one has less then most(see pics for details). It is wired for lights but no battery is currently installed. All AD"s are complied and up to date. Lifetime sealed struts, wheel pants, good brakes, recent new tires & bungees, all instruments including the parking brake work perfectly. 24 gallons fuel with 100mph cruise @ 3.5-4gph gives a pretty good range. Engine baffles, exhaust, heat muffs, and all of that stuff are in good condition. Has newer slick mags with dual impulse and shielded ignition makes for easier starting. This is a really nice taylorcraft at any price. I"ve seen a few taylorcrafts sell for more money recently that we"re not this nice. Please feel free to call, text, or message me with any questions or concerns at (606) 359-2557. Tire kickers and serious buyer alike are welcome, it"s always nice talking with folks about airplanes. I really don"t want to sell her but sometimes life happens and ya have to make some difficult choices. I simply have too many toys, projects, and bills so something"s gotta go. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask me anything. Thanks.
P.S. I can deliver anywhere in the lower 48 states for $250 a day plus expenses. Or free deliver within 100nm if you buy the gas for the chase plane.
PLEASE BID ONLY IF YOU CAN COMPLETE THE DEAL. Deposit is due within 24 hours and full payment within 7 days after auction ends even if you can?t make pickup or delivery arrangements by then. I can store for a month or two if need be for $200 a month but you will need to provide insurance proof or sign a liability waiver. Thank you.
