Vehicle description
1947 Stinson Voyager 108-2, N8048K. This is a project started by my father, Allen “Big Al” Wyndham. Unfortunately, Al passed away before he could finish so we need to sell N8048K. Al was an A & P and all of the work thus far on the aircraft is excellent. The Franklin 165 has been completely rebuilt by Debs Aircraft, with only 5 hours of run-up time on the engine.
All original working instruments, new wiring, needs up-dated avionics. Cleveland brakes, Scott tailwheel, new Goodyear tires and tubes, and a tow-hook (Al used to fly banners), brand new bottom cowling, nose bowl, Airtex headliner, carpets, seats, and lots more. Needs fabric to be finished and paint, the fun part of a restoration. In addition, lots of surplus materials, old instruments, hardware, compressor, drill-press, tools, hardware storage cabinets, gas-powered aircraft tow-bar, and more. Total airframe time is 1,928 hours, 5 hours SMOH. Log books and photographs available. $19,000 for all. N8048K has been in an enclosed hangar since Al has owned it. The plane is located in California’s Central Valley, at the 1927 historic Visalia Airport (KVIS). Contact Desiree (Wyndham) Rodgers, Walnut Creek, (925) 330-7282
