All senior people from Chicago should recognize this " Hard to Find " 1957 Pontiac StarChief Convertible as it was used in Chicago Parades in the 60,70 and 80"s. I brought it to Florida to restore it as it once was and have garaged and protected it from rain and weather for the past 31 years. After received a frame-off redo, I have not had time to devote to it. I have collected parts over time and it is now ready to be re-assembled and painted. It comes with a 57 Chieftain 2 door Hardtop as a donor parts car even though it has a full running gear. The convertible original colors were Nassau Green and Braeburn Green Metalic but is ready for the colors you choose. Parts like the engine, automatic transmission, and differential have not had a start-up since shop testing and re-assembly. The 347 engine has had a Crane 400 H.O. cam installed and changes to the rockers and springs to accommodate. Many collected parts share the boxes with the original cam if you want return to stock. The seats are the originals with some small tears and some places thread out of seams. As expected, some Rust in the expected places due to the weather in Chicago. Repair panels for the doors are included. Body metal skin was treated with OSPHO and Self-Etching Primer after removal of the original finish. The floors have been replaced and will need finish work. The Donor Parts car (last 4 pictures) should be a good supply source for many items and metal when you let your body man do his thing. It has a Bottle Window washer and mount which should fit the convertible. It has many parts that can be used or sold to other car buffs. It should be of help with hose and other item routing when the engine bay is being completed on the convertible. If not evident, you will be buying 2 cars with clear titles and all the removed items in many boxes, fenders, bumpers, hood, seats, Etc which are un-attached or in boxes. This will have a direct impact on the method and expense of shipping without you live local. The parts I know needing replacement are two frozen Convertible Top Cylinders, Convertible top Hydraulic pump and hoses. The colors you decide on will dictate the new colors and require new door panels. New top material and exhaust. An engine stand and new engine hoist have been added to this listing. I have always believed that with some TLC, this could be a Top enjoyment and Dollar car. As you can tell by the expected price, I am looking for that one person who might want to bring this convertible back to life. Will entertain questions and qualified offers.
