"Hard to Find" 1957 StarChief Convertible, ready for the assembly and color selection stage. I have garaged and protected from rain and weather for the past 31 years. Buyer can choose colors, re-use parts or buy new, and determine quality of workmanship. By starting with paint, you can do the dash and then re-install the gages, etc and the front window. Parts like the engine, automatic transmission, and differential have not had a start-up since shop testing and reassembly. The 347 engine has a Crane 400 H.O. cam installed and changes to the rockers and springs to accommodate. Many collected parts share the box with the original cam. The seats are the originals with some small tears and some thread-out of seams. Some Rust-Thru in the expected places due to previous Northern exposure to the elements. Repair panels for the doors are included. Body metal skin was treated with OSPHO and Self-Etching Primer after removal of old finish. The Donor Parts car is a 57 Chiefton 2 door hardtop and will be a supply source for many items and metal when you let your body man do his thing. It has a Bottle window washer and mount which should be able to go on the convertible. It should be good to see placement and routing under the hood. If not evident, you will be buying 2 cars with clear title, and all the removed items like fenders, hood, bumpers, seats etc, which are unattached or in boxes. This will have a direct impact on the method and expense of shipping without you are local. The parts that I know that will need replacing are 2 Convertible Top Cylinders, Top Hydraulic pump and hoses and door panels.
