“1931 Plymouth PA sports coupe, convertible with rumble seat. Car has a solid body, engine is also solid. Need some minor work (tap four bolt holes to next size up in metrics because someone overtorqued them) Engine runs great. Has 5 new tires and tubes shipping with it. Like any 80 year old car, it's not perfect, but I've loved owning the car. No rust issues at all. Car should not be started as is to protect engine until head is tightened. I do not want to damage a wonderful vehicle. If I have time this week, I will work on the head.” |

Vehicle description
I"m selling this car due to a move out of state and less garage space where I"m going. I don"t want to sell it and if I can find adequate storage, reserve the right to cancel the sale. This 1931 Plymouth Convertible Coupe is one of a small number built. These rare cars have most often been modified or turned into hot rods and therefore very few survive today and even fewer in their factory stock configuration. This one. however has survived in very good condition. It has benefited from being very well cared for and restored quite some time ago. The car was running and driving well when placed in storage. The sheet metal body and wooden structure are all in good shape. The running boards are new and were built from the exisiting frames. There is one small dent in the driver side fender caused by a clumsy garage worker dropping something on the fender. The paint is very good. but does show signs of age and minor wear. The interior is good no tears. The gauge faces are very good. The car was driven two years ago before going into temperature controlled storage. Please ask any questions before bidding and I"m happy to discuss the car in detail with you. I also encourage anyone interested in the vehicle to inspect it in person. The car is being sold "as is" without warranties of any kind. Buyer must pay in full for the car within 5 days of the end of the auction and pick it up or ship the car no later than the 11th of April. If car is not picked up by the 11th, buyer forfeits deposit as I"ll end up transporting it myself.
