Vehicle description
This auction is for a time capsule 1932 Plymouth PB.It has never been truly taken apart and restored but was repainted and reupholstered in 1963 with only about 75,000 miles on it.Today it shows just under 78,000 miles .It is unbelievably solid and surely must have spent its former life before Ohio in a dry climate or never exposed to many elements. It really needs to be looked underneath to appreciate its rustfree originality, even the area where water is normally funneled from rumble seat to rear floor trough does not even have surface rust to speak of. Two very small areas on either side of rear quarters looks to need some attention but both are flat and look to be a an easy fix. It has been fitted with 6 new BF Goodrich tires last winter as well as the rare Klaxon k-26 trumpets horns and super rare headlamp/horn stands that was only on the PB 8 monht production as an option. Equally rare is the right hand tail lamp stand that was an option. Fuel pump and carburetor were rebuilt as well as all brake cylinders were resleeved with stainless steel. Fuel line and brake lines are stainless steel frm Classic Tube. It runs good, engine must have been rebuilt or overhauled back in the sixties as it does not smoke. It has been fun to drive and most have told me to leave it alone and just enjoy it but the paint is 55 years old and peeling and chipping in places. It is the best old car condition wise I have ever had in 54 years of mostly restoring Model A to Early V8 Fords. It would be an easy restoration if that was the course taken but not one I want to take anymore. Thanks for looking, bid to own.
