Vehicle description
Partially converted GMC 2003 Bluebird (54 passenger), g utted and flooring installed plus 2 new batteries purchased Fall 2021!
Some windows removed and sealed with steel (the ceiling panels, can also provide what"s left). Had started scraping some of the exterior stickers.
Original flooring was removed, metal floor sanded, sealed, primed, and fitted with R5 foam insulation and 1/2" plywood. NOT registered, no takeaway plates - I had towed from NJ to NY, and was told if driven on the backroads probably wouldn"t have an issue with being pulled over but wanted to play it safe on the highway.
I have recorded most of my conversion process on Instagram, feel free to DM me for my handle and any questions you have! Looking for a semi-quick, as-is sale.
Honestly planning on putting all of the bus conversion items with the sale, so there"s probably a few other bonus items you"ll receive with purchase (but no promises).
Birdie"s in good shape, tires look new-ish. I purchased in September 2020 from a children"s academy in NJ that had purchased the bus January 17, 2020 and was told they had it outfitted to transport their elementary aged children but were unable to really use the bus due to the pandemic.
INCLUDED: Clean title and 1 GMC Key Havelock wool insulation (R7) 175,625 miles on the odometer 1 100-gallon fresh water tank (not installed) 1 55-gallon grey water tank (not installed) 1 can Ames Snow Seal Roof coat 1 32"x32" white direct-to-install shower pan Lumber, plexiglass, hinges, and handles for two skylights (where the roof hatches are) Internal wires clipped and partially removed Lumber for framing the walls/ceiling Removed windows, still in working order A variety of other building implements such as plywood and foam board insulation Willing to include some power tools (angle grinder, impact drill, etc.) - if you buy, message me and I"ll see what I have Full tank of diesel gas
ISSUES: Front door lock is busted (had to call a locksmith to open it, so it doesn"t lock anymore) One day the front door randomly got stuck closed so. . I was planning on removing it anyway, but entry is only through rear emergency door for now Bottom step is rusted out - easy fix for a welder!
