Up for auction is a 1995 Thunderbird NASCAR Batman/McDonalds Thunderbat promotional race car. This is car #5 as noted on the dashboard plate. It has a full NASCAR chassis and roll cage in perfect condition with full suspension complete with jacking screw adjustability. Thunderbird sheet metal body, race seat, gauge, harness. The car steers and rolls. There has never been an engine or transmission installed and the rear is a Ford 9” housing with no gears or axles. The original decals are gone but you can see the Batman Forever and McDonalds marks on the hood and quarter panels. The gas pedal is real and working condition. The brake and clutch pedals are just welded to a bracket in place and not working. Shifter is fake, just there for looks. Body is not perfect, some small damage as seen in pictures. Has full set of race gauges. I have included a picture of the original car car that this one was a promo for. I was going to make a Cole Trickle replica for shows. Can be finished for promotions, turned into actual race car or used for advertising or even a street car in some states. Great for a restaurant or bar with a NASCAR theme. Tires hold air but are no good.
Car has no braking system. It is set up for 4 wheel disc brakes but no calibers or rotors are on the car, no master cylinder, pedal or brake lines. Car rolls and steers. Windows are Plexiglass and sun faded. I am trying some different suggestions to clear them up but cannot make any guarantees. This is a binding contract, please ask questions before bidding.
