This is a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 that was purchased new in 2010 and converted into a Grand Am Koni Challenge ST race car. This car made history in 2011 by becoming the first Mercedes-Benz to compete at Daytona International Speedway. Driven by Freeman and Schmidt at Daytona then Homestead - Miami in March of 2011. Fallowed by a Baldwin - Schmidt effort at Barbor Motorsports Park in April of that year. The car was then upgraded with new AST double adjustable coil over shocks, Solid bushing suspension arms, light weight aluminum fuel cell, Costom Stainless exhaust, updated seat, belts, netting and fire bottle. It then competed in the 2016 IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race at Daytona driven by Cobb and Rowen. After Daytona the car was fitted with a new prototype engine containing higher compression pistons, racing rods, performance cams and large flow intake. 3.27 rear differential with Quaife limited slip. new OEM suspension arms, wheel bearings, brake calipers, rotors and pads. The car has since been driven for two hours burnishing brakes and testing. Spare parts include Original 3.0 engine, in race ready condition. Two rear differentials. 3.08 and 3.67 One set of axles. Three extra sets of wheels and tires. New rear brake pads. Used rear rotors. One new set solid bushing suspension arms. One used set solid bushing suspension arms.
