Mazda Rx7 Turbo Race Car - E Mod SCCA Solo2 Autocross. Condition is "Used". Mazda RX-7 Race Carwith WOLF EMS v4 running the engines systems - 1st gen (custom) TURBO 12a isSuper Fast! ! No expense spared ($55k+). Set for AUTOCROSS in the E Mod class, could be road course prep"d for less than $1k. It is SCCA Solo2 Sacramento Cup championship car.300+hp turbo 12a rotary @ about 12psi of boost, can run more with race gas. It only weighs 1750 pounds. TURBO wascustomized to spool quicker so no lag. acceleration is violent. :-) - WOLF 3dEMS controls the efi & spark engine maps and water pump to the water-to-airintercooler, - 2 sets of wheels (incl. super light Kaiser aluminum racingwheels and 13x7 PANASPORTS with slicks - PENSKE rear dbl adjustable shocks -KYB adjustable front struts - two hoods (lightweight fiberglass & stock) -SPARCO Evo drivers seat - Mazda close ratio 5 speed - TORSEN mechanicallimited-slip diff - QUARTER MASTER 9 pound flywheel and double plate racingclutch (makes this thing gain RPM so fast you won"t believe it). It has beensitting for a few years and I recently got it running again. It smoked at first because I put oil in the chambers, let it soak for a couple days, then turned it over several times by hand before firing it up. The smoking stopped after a few engine runs from cold to full temp. Over $55,000 went into building this car sowith just a little love, this car could easily be in "tip top shape" once again.
It"s not street legal, this is a serious race car. Doorswelded shut for chassis stiffness. New battery, fresh brake fluid, it"s at my house and running. . I was starting it every month and warming it up to keep the seals lubed up and fresh. Two weeks ago the QuarterMaster clutch/flywheel, which is ALL aluminum including the ring gear, broke some teeth and I cannot start it with the starter anymore. Replacement units from Racing Beat are about $800 for a lightweight flywheel and a stage 2 clutch/pressure plate setup. The car revs very quickly and I have recent recordings to prove it runs good. The boost is set at about 8-9 psi to make it controllable but with a slightly heavier flywheel you could add a little more boost once you were comfortable in the car. It handles like it"s on rails. This car should sell for at least $12-13k compared to what I see on the market for a car like this. It"s a competitive car in SCCA Solo2 Autocross. It has a clear title, but it"s not in DWV system anymore though. . Contact me for questions. Rod
