“I purchased this vehicle for my son and I to wrench on together. We fixed up and few things. Got the alternator working and got it running nicely. I have a complete new set of tracks for it that have never been used. They do have some corrosion from storage on the Aluminum” |

Vehicle description
The Army called it a Carrier, Cargo, Amphibious, Tracked M116 You can find many videos of it on YouTube. I have the manuals, some spare bogies,. The back door was damaged before I got it so it has not been in the water. it has a Chevy Military 283 V-8 in it with a powerglide transmission so it is easy to work on. It runs great and drives. I am not a transmission specialist and so have had some problems with the downshift linkage which means that it shifts hard into high gear. It has rubber tracks and I have a full set of spare tracks that I never put on it. I bought it to wrench on with my son. He is now 17 and has discovered girls so it sits in my hanger waiting for somebody new to love on it.
