After World War II new farm tractors were still hard to come by. Many farmers opted to purchase surplus half tracks and use them as farm tractors. Our father had one that is a story in and of itself.
A little over a decade ago he and a friend began buying up remaining hulks in the area pictured in the last two attached photos and had two of them "frame up" "museum quality" restored to the level first few pictures attached. He then acquired his friends. He used his for local parades, to drive to the local coffee shop and give friends a ride around town. It was last used in the local annual parade in 2018. The other has been stored in an old airplane hanger on the farm (the dusty one in the fourth picture).
He is now in a local nursing home and unable to care for or drive these historic machines. We are looking for a new home or homes for them and the proceeds to help with his care.
