Up fore auction is my 1949 Luscombe 8F Silvaire. If you have every flown a Luscombe, you need no further introduction to what it is and how it fly"s. For those of you who dont, this plane is as close to FLYING as you can get without a jetpack. Basic instruments, radio, Mode C Xponder, AutoFuel STC, Scott Tailwheel, is all you need to experience FLYING. There is a saying that real pilots fly taildragger"s. Well its true. Forget your Cessnas, Pipers (exclude Cub), etc. This plane was designed for one thing. .flying. Polished aluminum with painted upper fuselage, tail numbers (old school), and engine cowling. Continental C-90 engine with total time since FACTORY overhaul about 1500 hrs (Will confirm exact numbers). Overhauled Marvel Shebler carburator (it is a work of art), new fuel selector switch, original wheel pants, custom interior, dual wing tanks, Goodyear Brakes, full logs, current annual, always hangared, this airplane will make you feel alive. The Good: This plane is ready to fly. It has always been maintained, oil changed frequently, even if I did not fly it. Radio, COM, Xpndr will allow you to fly anywhere VFR allows.
