Vehicle description

Hello! Get ready to hit the road "vintage style" in this converted GM PD-4106 bus! It is in great condition and is ready for immediate travel. It has a Detroit 8V71 diesel with an Allison V-730 Automatic transmission. There is also a Kubota 3 cylinder 14,000 watt diesel generator that has just been serviced and has a new water pump. There is a 140 gallon main fuel tank for the engine along with a 20 gallon reserve tank for the generator. It also features air ride (with 4 corner leveling system), power steering, Jake brake, a new MiniMax Type 30 emergency brake back up system, and cruise control. Tires are 4 year old Goodyear"s with approx. 11,000 miles on Alcoa rims. Batteries are deep cell RV batteries and there is a battery shut-off switch. The bus has 2 large storage bays (with padlocks) which can be accessed from both sides. It measures 35" long, 96" wide, and 11ft. 6in. tall. This particular bus was almost the last one made of this model in June, 1965. Only 10 more were made after it. It originally ran as a charter bus based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was bought and originally converted in the 1980"s by a master mechanic who took excellent care of it. The previous owner I bought it from did a major re-model inside. (See below). This bus is still mostly original on the outside and still has the original steering wheel, horn, and fog lamps. It also still has the factory installed search light that still works (handy to use at night), as well as a modified rear exhaust pipe making it look more like a "hot rod!"
Since I have had the bus, the following was done last month (Have receipt totaling over $2,300):
6 brand new air bags installed. ($2,000) Engine just serviced including oil change, oil filter change, and fuel filters changed. ($250) Generator just serviced including oil and filter change. ($90.00)
The previous owner I bought it from invested close to $15,000 into this coach. Listed below are recent upgrades that were done:
PVC water pipe and couplings underneath just replaced with new in February. Engine starter re-built and transmission re-sealed. New rubber door hinge molding installed on all bay doors. Receiver hitch with 4 wire plug for towing. (Hitch is stored underneath.) Awning installed. Two roof a/c units (currently blow cold) with forced air heat and two aux. catalytic converter wall heaters. 50 gallon propane tank 100 gallon fresh water tank, and 40 gallon black/grey water tank. Flex steel captain"s chairs newly covered that swivel. Custom oak cabinets. New matching sofa and love seat in living room that convert into beds. New Bamboo blinds covering most windows. New wood ceiling, high impact flooring (with extra left over) new coat of paint throughout the inside. New kitchen including oversized stainless steel sink and faucet, white tiled counter with subway tile backsplash, and 4 burner gas stove with oven. 3 way Dometic 2 door refrigerator/freezer. Matching end tables in living room. Newer toilet in bathroom with oak mirror cabinet and a newer florescent light. Designer quality fully tiled shower with new high flow shower head. (Shower and bathroom are separate). New queen mattress in bedroom with closet and overhead storage.
Included in the sale are manuals for the engine, a GM parts book, (see photo), and receipts for work done by the previous owner.
Also included are various odds and ends that are stored in cabinets in the coach and underneath.
