Vehicle description
Classic 1962 GM PD-4106 #908
This vehicle runs and drives well. Powered by a Detroit Diesel 2-stoke 8V71 motor with working Jacobs Brake. Motor is paired to a Spicer 4 speed manual transmission. This bus is easy to drive and navigate with hydraulic power steering and power assist clutch. All air systems are functional, and hold air going down the road. Comes with two brand new front windshields ($2500 value) and gasket kit. Also included is a brand new back-up / replacement starter. Manuals and some spare parts are also included.
This bus was purchased with the intent to restore, But the global pandemic has affected my ability to fund the project, and so it is time to pass it on to a lucky new owner. The interior is worn, and needs to be updated or repaired. This bus is being sold AS-IS. And should be considered a shell. Our plan was to demolish the current RV interior, and re-do all the finishings with more modern and up-to-date styling. The bedroom area at the rear of the coach has already been partially deconstructed. The current RV interior isn"t fully functional. Some systems are working, such as the solar panels, and the stereo system.
This is a chance at a very rare and very desirable Coach. The Coach front steer tires look a bit weathered and may would be advised to have replaced before a long drive to it"s new home. Other than that, seller feels confident that this coach will make it to any US destination. It is strong running.
