Now at age 76, after many years of restoring and driving old race cars, we have sold our main shop building, and many of our cars. For several years I Vintage Raced the yellow 1968 Spider, which I sold last year. We began restoring this car that Fiat"s Master Service Tech, John Held, raced from new in the 70"s, thinking my grandson would race it, but he went with a non-vintage car instead. Like the Bugeye Sprite we have for sale, this car is a great opportunity for vintage racing, as we are also liquidating it at a loss. In addition to purchasing the car, motor and transmission, we spent nearly $6000 just getting the body stripped to bare metal and painted in base/clear blue metallic. This is the most solid Spiders we have ever had at the shop. Raced since new, it had not been left outside. The pictures of the inner sills show how solid this car is. You won"t disappointed with this one. It comes with all the equipment that was originally in the car as shown in the pictures, some light Maseratti alloy wheels, together with a 5 speed transmission and 1800 complete core motor.
Disc brakes on 4 wheels. Engine options from under 1500cc to over 2 liter make these a good car for any Group
This is primarily an assembly project. Other than the scratch in the right front fender, the body work, is done, and the cockpit, trunk area, and engine compartment are all finish painted.
