Vehicle description
For sale/auction is my personal race car. This is a storied car and a big part of the history of Factory Five Racing. I have owned and driven this car at numerous promotional track events, races, autocrosses and fundraisers over the years. The most recent track time the car saw was at the 2018 Hyperfest event at VIR where the car was used for hot laps with customers to raise money for charity (will try to attach video to this listing). The car is well sorted out and extremely fast 2400 lb race car that is reliable, well set up for open track days and in very good condition.
Currently the car is powered by a brand new 500 hp Ford Crate engine Boss 363 that produces 426 rwhp (engine installed less than 1500 miles ago). The transmission is a Tremec TKO 500 5 speed with solid axle 8.8" rear end with 3.55 gears. Halibrand style aluminum DOT legal wheels wear used Toyo R888R tires 245/40/17"s in the front and 315/35/17"s in the rear. Brakes are six-piston Roush Alcon calipers and 13" rotors, KONI shocks, Fire Suppression system, Kirkey aluminum high back race seats and recent simpson seat harnesses. Race inspected/Tech"d in 2018. The car has some nicks and scratches from time on the track, but total hours are low and the car has spent more time at shows than races.
The car was originally built by John Baylow and his crew at Muscle Car Restorations in Chippewa Falls WI, as part of two cars that were built for an article with Hot Rod Magazine. The car has been garaged at Factory Five Racing and used at shows including the SEMA show and Fords display at the Detroit Autoshow AutoRama. I love this car and on the track it can do no wrong and has given me many smiles and excitement. I am selling the car as it is not being used any longer. This is a perfect car for the occasional road racer or autocrosser. The car is sold with a certificate of Origin and bill of sale.
