Vehicle description
Its with some regret that i offer up my baby for sale. I first got her when i was 13 and used it through high school before parking it and stripping it down for racing.
Under the lift off hood, there is an Indy head 572. World Products steel engine block 4.5 bore and 4.5 stroke. Callies crank, Oliver rods, CP gas ported pistons (clearanced for both 13 and 15 degree valve angles) 13.1 compression. Custom Milodon oiling system with 2 swinging pickups. Indy 440-1 cylinder heads (325), smith brothers push rods, holley dominator worked by pro systems in Chicago. MSD ignition, ATI balancer and CSI electric water pump.
Cope racing 727 super pro transmission with 5500 stall converter and brake. Also has B&M trans cooler.
The rear end is a Strange Engineering "S60" with spool and 35 spline axles. Rear suspension is Chris Alston Eliminator II set up with adjustable coil overs. Strange engineering 4-piston caliper brakes on all corners bring her to a stop. Centerline convo pros and Goodyear slicks and front runners round up the drivetrain.
At present, the best run has been a 9.78 @138 launching at a soft 3500RPMs and shifting at 6400. This was done in Wisconson at sea level. Here in Albuquerque, NM (5200ft) it runs 10.40s all day long. I took her to Las Vegas for MATS and keeping everything "soft", she ran 10.07 consistently. I"m positive I would have run a 9 if I stood on her some and the DA would"ve behaved. Was never lower then 3000 the whole weekend. Not bad for an all steel car with just a fiberglass hood.
The car has never been wrecked. The paint still shows good but will need a paint job to be "showcar" ready. I painted it in 2005, so it"s been awhile and she does have some battle scars, but don"t let that discourage you, she still gets attention anywhere I take her. She still has all her original glass except for a new windshield. The interior is mostly stainless steel with a 12pt. Rollcage and a drivers swing out bar. The chassis was certified in March 2015 To 8.50.
Car is being sold "as is". There is no warranty. Buyer is responsible to pick up of items. A nonrefundable down payment of 500.00 is due immediately at auction end with remainder due within one week either in cash or wire transfer into my account. I am not looking for trades at this time. I am not looking for help in selling this. If you have questions, don"t hesitate to leave me a message or, if you are serious enough, you can call me at 505-450-9408. My name is Johnny. I can deliver but for an additional fee and only once full payment has been made. Thank you for looking.
