Vehicle description
1973 Dodge Challenger. Small block 419 CI. 4 link Alston rear suspension. AlterKtion coil over front suspension. Rack and pinion. Dana 60, 456 gears and spool. R3 Mopar block. 4" forged crank. Comp Cams roller cam. Professionally ported Edelbrock heads with 2.05 valves. Dominator 1050. 727 Auto trans with steel drum. Griner trans brake with rear band apply. Cheetah shifter with air. Newly freshened PTC convertor. No exhaust. Glass front fenders, bumpers, deck lid and hood. Scaled 3210 at Byron. Cage by Bruns Race Cars. Belts are expired. The engine dynoed at 587 hp. Sent the heads in again, had the 2.05 valves installed, bumped the cam up and shaved .3 off the 1/4. So, pretty sure it is over 600 hp now. I have the original front bucket seats and console. Also front and rear steel bumpers. It does blow a puff of smoke on initial startup after sitting. I don"t get it out enough. Has run a best of 10.25 at Bradenton. Usual is higher 10.40ish.
