For sale is this very well prepared 1963 Corvette convertible B/Production race car. This is a superb example of a B/Production Midyear C2 Corvette. SVRA Certified Historic Race Car.
A brief history of this car: Was acquired in 1966 as an insurance write-off and converted to a racecar, utilizing the new at the time 1967 louver panels. Raced for many years with SCCA and NCCC, documented race history dating back to 1972. The car changed hands a couple of times, and ultimately sat in storage for many years Previous owner acquired this car & had the restoration completed Current owner has campaigned the car at CotA, Watkins Glen, and Indy, just to name a few There is a very large binder that includes the history of this Corvette, including signed affidavits, receipts, and old photos. This car is very well documented.
This Corvette is show quality, yet is a proven, competitive car. It"s truly remarkable.
Mechanical details are as follows: Dry sump 332ci engine with cast iron block (543 HP, 525 torque) Roller rockers Comp roller cam Super T-10 transmission 3.70 positraction rear differential J56 brakes Aluminum radiator MSD ignition Hydraulic clutch release system In 2007, this car was frame-off restored, and every inch of the body and frame was gone over. The frame was cleaned and painted, and the body was painstakingly restored. The unique flares are very well done, and the panel gaps on this Corvette are impeccable. The inside features smoothed floors, and custom work performed on the doors to mold them to fit the cage.
With a good once-over, a fresh set of tires, and fuel, this car is ready to hit the track.
This Corvette has log books, VIN tag, and title.
