Vehicle description

MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN – I bought this 1998 BMW M3 road race car as a project car for my son. The car was built for WRL races, racing in the GP1 class. Sadly, the former owner was in a slow speed (25 mph) collision with a barrier at Brainerd, pancaking the left side and causing a small ripple in the floor pan. The plan was for my son to repair the car so he and I could race together, but he doesn’t have time to do the necessary work. I hate to do it, but it’s time to sell the car. Prior to the Brainerd incident, the car was very fast and reliable. It still has all the go-fast upgrades in place, and the previous owner says the motor has near perfect compression and very few races on it. Here are some more reasons you might want to buy this BMW M3: Engine:
-Original S52 with S50 intake swap. 117k, Only 5 races on it.
-Turner oil pan baffles, Dinan intake.
-Water pump new 4/16
-Turner Motorsport Aluminum Radiator
-MAF new 5/16
-AFE 3.5in intake with Heat Shield (heat shield not currently on car)
-ECU chip Drivetrain:
-OEM ZF Transmission Refreshed Feb of 2016
-Brand new Turner LW clutch/flywheel kit. 3 races on the drivetrain.
-UUC short shift kit
-Drive shaft BMW OEM, new 2/16
-OEM 3.15 Diff with 130k, no race miles. Was not in the accident.
-Guibo new 2/16
Interior:
-Kill switch
-Custom Seat Mounts professionally welded for extra-tall clearance
-Dual Fuel Pump system anti-starvation system
-Used and out of date Sparco seat with mounts and slider
-Dash shift light
-Full 8-point roll cage installed by Mueller Motorwerks in WI (battle tested!) Suspension/body:
-All body panels, hood, trunk, doors, spoiler and splitter, etc in good shape (except left side)
-New Poly bushings on Sub-frame, trailing arms, etc.
-Trailing arm and subframe reinforcement plates
-Side Transport Windows included
-Rear shock tower reinforcement plates
-Turner rear camber arms
-New OEM wheel bearings/hubs with brand new studs - Right side
-Used Bimmerworld ISC coilover Kit is on it just to keep it rolling and was not on car during accident. Right front is busted.
Brakes:
-Has stock M3 Calipers, all working.
-PFC 08 M3 Race pads
-Factory Blank Rotors brand new
-Rotors and pads on the car have 15 minutes of track time on them after bedding in. Here is what the car needs to be ready to race:
-Left side: Control arm, tie rod, wheel bearings and axle.
-Cosmetic - Left side fender and body work (door works fine, but I think you’ll need to replace the fender and door skin. You’ll also need to repair the left quarter panel.)
-Driver-side motor mount arm
-Windshield (has small crack)
-Power steering has been removed (not necessary, but just want you to know)
-Seat belts (removed after crash)
-New Shocks - Current coilovers are damaged and not repairable
-Comes with stock 3.23 LSD that is not installed and was not on car during the crash Buy the car, and I’ll throw in two sets of PFC 08 front brake pads. This is a fully built 1998 BMW M3 that can be raced in WRL, AER, ChampCar, NASA or SCCA. Put in a little sweat equity and you’ll have a reliable and competitive race car to play with.
