You are bidding on a used school bus. My wife and I purchased this bus back in March of this year from the Muscogee County, Georgia school district. We bought this bus for the sole purpose of using it to move our dogs, goats, ducks, chickens and Turkeys from our farm in North Georgia to a farm here in Delevan, NY. We made the move so we don"t need the bus.
This bus has an 8.3 liter Cummins turbo diesel engine paired with an Allison 5 speed electronic transmission. Fully loaded, this bus ran 70 mph from N. GA to NY with no problems.
I should mention that the batteries are BRAND NEW. The tires are also not very old. They look new to me.
The odometer reads around 41,000 miles. however, after speaking with the head mechanic when I bought the bus, he said that he believed the odometer had been switched out when this bus had 100,000 miles on it. Either way, the bus is in excellent shape.
