Nice, nice, nice. Two buses. .135k and 95k miles. Perfect skoolie, stealth camper, cargo van, toy hauler rv.
NICE NICE NICE ! ! ! ! ! ! !
In Galveston for $4900. I have have 2 almost identical buses. .the auction is for ONE bus. .your choice. Buy it now price is for (1) bus. TWO buses are available. If you want two buses, the Buy it Now will be doubled. I have enabled the make offer feature, but please don"t waste my time with really stupid offers.
Nice low miles, 8 window, wheelchair lift equipped bus. Retired as part of normal fleet renewal, and was in service up to that time. Based on the 48 passenger Vision chassis, but set up for handicapped operations. Will NOT seat 48 as configured. Great bus for an RV conversion, church / daycare bus, toy hauler, stealth camper alternative etc. Should have no problem getting to Alaska or to Central America. You could spend $8900 at a dealer, and still not find a better bus than this one. Why travel and liveaboard in a cramped cargo van, or old pos RV? This type of bus is a great alternative. .big enough to carry everything you need, but much more maneuverable than a full sized bus. Yes. .even Mom or the GF can drive it, without white knuckles.
Has:
- 7.2 liter Cat C7 diesel - Engine is very quiet and smooth with no tics, slaps, knocks - Allison automatic transmission - All the fluids are very clean - Good oil pressure - Temp stays in middle of range - Less than 140k miles, so has a lot of life left - Tracks nice and straight, no uneven tire wear - Virtually ZERO blowby - ZERO smoke - Optional 77 inch. .high ceiling model - Strong batteries and charging system - 1500 watt, 12 volt to 110 inverter. - 60 gallon tank - Great engine compartment access, and much easier to work on compared to a van style bus - The ISD used all synthetic oils - Starts right up and drives fine - Very smooth at 55 mph on the highway - Air brakes - Dual AC systems, but only the front blows cold right now. Will be working on the rear - Hydraulic wheel chair lift works well - 28.5 feet long, bumper to bumper - Driver air seat smooths the ride very well - All the lights work, and all the lenses are intact - All the glass is perfect - Body is almost perfect - The sheet metal paint is ok except for clear coat peeling - No rust of any consequence - Seats are pretty nice with only a few loose seams - Floor is solid, no soft spots, and looks barely walked on. Higher miles bus has the better floor. - The passenger side seats have belts AND integral, fold down child safety seats - Rear tires are decent, the fronts are better. The lower miles bus has excellent tires. - Does not have the post 2006, nightmare emission controls.
Only real negatives it has:
- Front fenders and hood have peeling paint and some hairline cracks. - Dent on DS rear corner. Should pound out ok and be barely visible. - AC not very cold, but I do have it cooling a little now. After sitting, they often need recharge. - The battery tray rollers are missing, but I will replace. - The higher miles bus has a little electrical gremlin in the ignition switch. Fairly common with all the phantom/parasitic draws these busses have. Not sure if a solenoid is hung up, or the ignition switch is faulty. Does not affect starting or drivability. Am currently working on it. - Inspection is expired, but it should pass with no problems. Bring some insurance, and I"ll provide a temporary permit so you can drive it home legally. I got an insurance quote from Progressive for $440 a year. I can deliver to the MX border or anywhere within reason. .if needed
These are actually very solid engines, but have gotten a bad rap because of the complicated fuel injection system and parts prices. They are extremely sensitive to fuel contamination and poor oil change practices. Chances are that this injection system has been replaced at some point in the past few years. Hablo Espanol. Clean, blue Texas title in my name. .in hand.
Will be in Galveston after 20 April. Text at 4zero9nine39one995 if you have any questions, or want to come test drive the buses. Bid with confidence. If you win the bidding, but don"t like the bus, I will refund your money. Fly in and drive this bus anywhere.
