This 1971 AVION Travelcader is a renovated CLASSIC 28 foot, 5000 pound travel trailer that is extremely clean. We acquired the trailer from the fourth prior owner in 2013. A refurbishment was initiated in 2013 and completed in 2016. The company"s founder"s grandson helped with the improvements. The Travelcader is offered with manuals and upgrade information and a clear Washington state title in sellers" names. Improvements include renovating the interior, cleaning exterior and dismantling extra attachments and providing a superior towing Hensley hitch with stinger plus a new tongue jack with sidewinder. The number of original parts on this trailer are impressive. We replaced or upgraded the trailer trying to keep as much of original as possible and the list of changes since our purchase in 2013 are as follows: AC unit with heat strip, ceramic bowl toilet, water heater (electric/gas), water pump, 12 volt converter, custom window coverings all around, gas range with oven and metal burner top cover, range hood with exhaust fan and light, Marmoleum floor covering, mattresses, 2 batteries replaced in 2018, 2 new Maxxis tires dated 2018, other tires dated 2013, aluminum backsplash, Formica counter top, refrigerator/freezer (electric/gas), wheel bearings repacked fall 2018, LP gas regulator, kitchen faucet, overhead light dining area, and many accessories. The removals were: furnace (maintained original ducting, cabinet, and connections for furnace), cloth awning, and rooftop antenna. One addition that we did not remove was the custom plastic interior window coverings made to insulate windows. The Travelcader is 49 years old and could still use additional replacements but it is very functional with no leaks or major problems. Possible replacements would be fiberglass awning, some plumbing upgrades, new seals around windows, black water valve. There are a few injuries noted in pictures. We have traveled in the trailer for about 20,000 miles across the US and lived in it for a few months over the years. It is a great trailer and only selling it because we are getting too old to use it now. Please contact for further information or pictures.
