Up for sale is a 1997 m1081 LMTV (Light Medium Tactical Vehicle) built by Stewart and Stevenson for the U.S. military. This is a 2.5 ton 4x4 truck with only 13,786 miles at the time of this listing. This is a current conflict vehicle and is in current use by many countries around the world so any parts that may be needed are readily available. This specific model is designed to be partially disassembled, lowered with onboard hydraulics and then loaded on an aircraft and then be air dropped/parachuted into any location on the planet. Furthermore, it has lifting arms so that it may be picked up by a crane, or a helicopter. This truck comes with a 3116 model caterpillar diesel engine backed by a 7 speed automatic alison transmission. Tons of power and torque! Seats 3 adults comfortably with the machine gunner seat in the current configuration, but could easily be reconfigured to seat 4 or 5 people. It has an automatic centralized tire inflation system (CTIS), that"s controlled from the cab which has multiple options for different types of terrain. The steel bed is 12.5 feet long, and about 7.5 feet wide. The bed has been freshly coated with rubberized bed liner, has davits for installing a crane (not included) and uprights for attaching the frame of a canvas top (not included). The bed sides can be folded down to make loading the bed with a forklift much easier. The sides can also be easily removed and stowed in the under bed compartments. The spare tire is raised and lowered into position with onboard hydraulics which are totally functional. The truck has fresh paint, brand new military spec. batteries, and a rear boarding ladder which hooks into the bed. The tires are Goodyear 395/85r20 mvt and have an aggressive tread. There are "glad hand" air brake connections in the front and rear to either be towed or to tow another vehicle/trailer. This system can also be used to manually air up your tires or the tires of other vehicles with the proper connector. Clear civilian Tennessee title/registration in hand. The truck starts, runs, and drives very well and is a lot of fun to drive too! A real head turner!

Shipping is not included but I will be happy to assist the seller with any arrangements that he/she makes. I will not sell outside the U.S. due to laws regarding sale of military surplus to foreign countries.
