2011 Blue Bird School Bus 6.7 ISB Cummins Diesel Hydraulic Brakes / Automatic Transmission This bus is from Bridgeport, Illinois. It is now located in Severy, Kansas. It has 135,000 miles. This bus is cheap. I knew that it had problems when I bought it last week. The school thought that it had a bad turbo. I think that they may be right. It would not drive over 10mph for a couple blocks and then it would shut down. So to get it going, I drilled six 1/2" holes in the exhaust pipe ahead of the exhaust burner/filter to take back pressure of the turbo. The I pulled the air filter (looked plugged) to ease the intake. I was then able to get it up to 70mph. The intake manifold pressure wants to collapse , so I am thinking, turbo or turbo gate actuator or map sensor. Don"t get me wrong, this bus is not running right. But I feel sure that the engine and transmission is very good. It shows almost no blow-by and sounds great. I also pulled the gas cap, the tank was under vacuum (the vent on top of the tank would be plugged with mud). The engine is worth more than the bus. I drove it 450 miles. And it should make it to Mexico or where ever. All I do are buses. And I have them coming out my ears. If I have the time, I will buy the turbo islet, go through it, clean all the electrical connections, check the MAP sensor and maybe then sell it for double. Please save yourself some money and me some hassle . You should be somewhat mechanical . This Bus Is Sold AS-IS. Please, Personal checks have to clear before releasing the bus. Thank you.
