This car was purchased new on 06/30/2010 from Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville, OR. At this time the car was dismantled and converted by Hartmann Motors into a Grand Am, Koni Challenge, ST race car. The car was then transported to Daytona International Speedway in January of 2011 and tested and raced with Jarret Freeman and Max Schmidt as drivers. After Daytona the car went to Sport Maps in Atlanta where the car was serviced and given a few improvements granted by Grand Am ( this is the first and only W204 Mercedes to race in Grand Am ). In March of 2011 the car went on to finish its second race with Freeman/Schmidt in Homestead-Miami. Come April of 2011 the C300 once again finished, although there was a change in the driver line up with Jack Baldwin joining Schmidt. After this race the car went back to Sport Maps to undergo modifications and negotiations with Grand Am to improve the car. The car Returned to Daytona in January of 2012 to finish again with Freeman and Schmidt. After Daytona the car shelved. I acquired the car in August of 2012. A few more improvements were completed before testing the car at Daytona in January of 2013. After, we continued talks with Grand Am. Making some progresss on rules the car lost 100 lbs and was fitted with a new exhaust and fuel cell. We did go on to experiment with another engine but the results did not pan out. In 2016 we once again went to Daytona but under IMSA and the CONTINENTAIL TIRE CHALLENGE. The car went to KLEEMANN in Colorado Springs where it was fitted with new suspention,brakes, wheel bearing and full service and inspection. The car never raced in IMSA again do to a lack of funding. The car returned to KLEEMANN in 2018 where it was fitted with Dynaflow mufflers, street Mercedes break pads, headlight and a few other parts. The car now drives on the street with 6800 mile on the odometer. This car is very fun to drive and is a great car for track days. It also fits into the WRL 2 class. Please ask questions.
