Absolutely stunning, 9 on a 10 scale, 2010 General Dynamics M1163 Growler ITV-PM 4x4 Growler
US Marine Corps ITV (Internally transportable vehicle). Street register-able in most states, if you are uncertain, check your individual states DMV regulations for on-road plate requirements. Otherwise a very capable and incredibly fun off-road vehicle!
A little background on the M1163:
Originally built for the Marine Corps and specifically designed for transportation in the V-22 Osprey.
The Unit cost was $1,078,000+ for the M1163 PM.
The M1163 is a tactical vehicle certified by the U.S. Military to fly in the V22 Osprey.
My ITV is in excellent (above average) condition. Absolute 9 on a 10 scale (Cosmetically, mechanically, and structurally). I have brand new interior upholstery being fitted to the original seat foam (not pictured at the time of auction listing but will be professionally installed prior to auction end / delivery).
The transmission is solid and shifts smoothly. All inboard and outboard CV boots are in tact and untorn. This M1163 has been professionally and meticulously painted to restore it, to as close to "original / new" condition as viably possible.
All Gauges, LED lights, compressor system, Air inflation tire system, FOX shocks, and electronic push-button air-ride suspension, are in excellent condition and fully functional / operable. I have not seen a cleaner version of the M1163 ITV for public sale yet! You d o not want to miss your chance to own this particular "one-of-a-kind" slice of military history.
Those individuals who are familiar with these machines, know that they are very purist in nature (battlefield / training, straight to auction) so, realize that all of the naturally occurring (unrefined)
mechanical imperfections, nuances, and idiosyncratic characteristics you may inherit or develop with ownership, are just part of the unique qualities that accompany the love affair those of us have, for owning such a unique and extremely rare (less than 450) military vehicle.
