Vehicle description

2009 duramax diesel ambulance / camper conversion. Brand new re-manufactured transmission with 2 years transferable warranty remaining. (details in pics)
In my opinion this is the ultimate vehicle to convert into a camper, or go travel in. . there"s a video on "demers ambulance bodies" website that shows the detail and construction process that goes into building these. they are insulated, constructed with aluminum square tubing (you can walk on the roof), each door or storage compartment is lighted and locks with all other doors from the key fob. . two alternators is stock for these units so lots of battery/ charging capability. heavy duty doors and hinges, dual weather stripping, and shock absorbers on compartment doors. the quality of these ambulance bodies basically makes all travel trailers look like cheap "pos". (in my opinion) :)
My reason for selling is simple. although I would love to keep it, I have a credit line i would like to pay off as well as a new hiab/ boom truck business i need to put my money towards rather than a camping unit / toy that i use a few times a year. though i do still have some trips planned for this unit if i cannot get what i have invested into it.!
It needs little to nothing, the engine oil has been changed religiously since i have owned it, fairly low kms or mileage for a duramax, and a new re-manned warrantied transmission. (this was the only real hiccup/ issue i had after purchasing it). it gets very decent fuel mileage usually 13 L per hundred when cruising flat ground at 100km. . about the same as a duramax pickup with a load in the box. . the only flaw i"d say it has is a crack in the windshield, and a toonie sized dent on the drivers side from a bike handlebar. (not even visible in pics). . the mountain bike and computer monitor is not included ! . . .mini fridge, twin mattress, chainsaw and kindling can go with it. . it is a very capable, comfortable vehicle to drive and saves a lot of hotel/ motel bills. wooden bed frame also folds up/ tucks away if bench seat with three seat belts is desired. the electical compartment is very professional, labeled and easy to access/ figure out if any future modifications were desired. the starting batteries are separate from the batteries that run the camper/ heater etc so you don"t have to worry about using the heater / interior lights as they will last days of camping without killing your starting batteries. this unit could also be converted or put back in service as ambulance/ first aid unit as little to nothing has been removed or modified other than the rear facing seat. flashing lights and siren decomissioned.
-120 watts of solar panels on roof - sirius radio antenna routed to drivers console - 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter (wired outlets in camper, electrical panel, and drivers area) - 12 volt espar diesel air heater for camping (wired to work with ignition off, heat controlled with regular household dial thermostat) - 110 volt electric heater and outlets (when power is available) - espar diesel coolant heater (to avoid cold engine starts, could be converted into hot water/ shower heater) - 2 deep cycle batteries for rear compartment, isolated from starting batteries. - endless storage compartments/ shelving - side door entrance, lighted step - endless lighting inside and out! - rear interior lights converted to led - tires are next to new, good year silent armour - 10" polk audio house subwoofer between captains seats ( you"ve never heard an ambulance like this!) - driver and passenger seats are full adjustable / electric - secondary fuel filter system installed (similar to fass) - heat and ac controls for front and rear
any questions or comments you can message me, i could possibly meet/ deliver anywhere in bc or alberta if that helps. .
