Our Sightseer has served us well but time marches on and it is time to say goodbye.
We are the second owners of this sturdy and stable motorhome. The Workhorse Chassis with it’s 8.1 liter gas engine and Allison transmission has been reliable and strong.
The accompanying lists should provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision. I can provide owners manuals and the maintenance record from the time we purchased it so you can determine that it has been well cared for.
We have been amazed at how well the upholstery and cabinetry has held up over the years. As volunteers for the National Park Service and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, we have spent many months living in it at parks and refuges.
Make no mistake however; it is 14 years old. The decals are showing wear, the front wheel covers show “curb rash” and I have covered some minor crazing in the surface of the fiberglass roof with Eternabond tape. There have been no leaks—that’s an outstanding feature of a fiberglass roof. Overall I would say that the wear and tear is normal and the cosmetics are in keeping with a vehicle of this age.
We used a Tow Dolly for our Toyota Corolla and did not have any problem keeping within the weight limits of the motorhome chassis. The tow dolly is included in the sale.
