+ + + + + + + + + + + + UPDATE! We are currently working on the bus still. We have replaced the alternator, the serpentine belt, the drive belt to the compressor, and the coolant. The engine is running and its very strong. Transmission is very strong and had recent work before taking it out of fleet. Tires are decent. Glass is all good. It drives and runs and drives Does NOT need a tow any more. It needs cleaned. Has been sitting since 2013 until I purchased it 3 weeks ago. The air system is holding pressure in both front and back. The kneel is down. I believe the switch that activates the kneel needs replaced. Lights on dash are on however it drives and runs great. + + + + + + + + + + + +

This bus is AMAZING! 2003 Blue Bird School/Transit Bus REAR ENGINE, 5.9L I6 DIESEL with approximately 75000 miles on newer engine. The engine was installed professionally by Cummins.The bus has 2 BRAND NEW batteries ($600ish) The bus runs and all electrical works as of 2 days ago when we started it. This bus had an air leak in the air suspension system when I originally did my 1st post. That has since been identified as a hole in the air tank and the tank has been replaced.
Vin number - 1BAGJBPA03F209613Miles- 289632 (75k on a newer engine) Was used in the City of Black Hawk to transport passengers around the town.Was serviced every 3,000 miles but removed from fleet in 2013. The bus was started and run and driven periodically to keep the engine cycled.
Has an automatic Allison transmission with retarder.
Fully serviced and proof is in the records. Minor dents, dings and scratches may be present.Full maintenance records and meticulously fleet maintained by the city fleet.
SINGLE CITY OWNER. This would make an AMAZING RV conversion camper. Its a bit unconventional for a skoolie but provides a ton of room especially for taller people. I am 6ft 6in and can stretch my arms over my head. 8ft ceilings. This would be perfect as a rv conversion or use as is for a group charter. Would be great as a business conversion or business office etc such as a mobile grooming, mobile office , food kitchen, mobile learning pod, shuttle to and from the airport, church shuttle etc.

Do you need a CDL to drive it? No. CDL status is for COMMERCIAL driving. Verify this per your own department of motor vehicles. To my knowledge, you do NOT need a cdl. It would be wise to have some kind of experience to drive it prior to driving away with it.
Will this even go highway speeds and how fast?
We had our 2007 (same bus later year) on the highway going approximately 70mph ish Other way home this baby was going about 50 but we wouldn"t take it faster due to our own comfort levels.
