Vehicle description
We are the second owners of this well-built,
sturdy 5th wheel and we no longer use it. Aside from being a very well built 5th
wheel it features the 4 seasons insulation package, which includes the belly of
the unit. The kitchen countertop is Corian and the cabinets throughout are oak.
The built-in bed platform in the upper slide is Queen size and has the standard
5 th wheel lift storage area under the mattress the bathroom features
a small tub/shower combo. There is a large closet, which on some floor plans is
used to house a washer/dryer combo. No doubt, a laundry could be added by you
or your craftsman. The unit will no have any furnishings beyond the kitchen
table and chairs. There is adequate room for a couple of recliners, love seat/bed
combo. The
original owners had the Morryde independent suspension installed by Mor-Ryde in
Indiana a couple of years before we bought it and they had fashioned a
containment for the Onan Marquis Gold 5.5 kw gasoline powered genset (which can
be converted to propane.) The genset is in the forward basement. There are the
usual blemishes, minor stains, wear and tear one would expect from an older and
well-maintained unit.
Additionally, there are a couple of known
mechanical issues. The refrigerator runs on propane only v. elec. and prop. The
magic fan in the kitchen needs repair or replacement (the control arm, which
lifts the hatch has separated.)
Recent upgrades within the last 2 years
include: New furnace, new microwave oven, (2) new house batteries (2016), and an IW60 ON-DEMAND Propane Water
Heater - Tankless. Th e 5th wheel is for sale locally and the auction may be cancelled, the description is subject to modification, but is believed to be accurate at this time. This 5th wheel is being sold as is, where is. Please, if you have any questions or would like to see other views let me know. I can get more photos to you within the same day, usually. UPDATE: I checked out the 5th Wheel on 7/21 after the line of storms that came through the area 7/20. The inside is dry as a bone. The slides are extended. UPDATE: I filled up a propane bottle and turned on the frig yesterday 7/24, I returned today 7/25 and the water bottle in the freezer is solid and the frig is cold. I took a photo of the specifics for the frig. UPDATE: 7/ 26 Since I had propane in the unit. I filled the storage tank. The water pump ran fine, and the on-demand water heater fired up and made hot water limited only be the amount of water and propane avail. Frig and Freezer are still cold and A/C unit operated, while being powered by the genset. UPDATE: 7/27 I moved the 5th Wheel about 15 miles down the road to a more visible location. My 1 ton Duramax with 266k miles moved it smoothly, and easily. The trailers brakes seem fine and will stop the truck independently without grabbing or skidding at low speeds. The frig and freezer are still on and I used the shower. I pulled the mattress out of storage that it goes with the unit or we can toss it out.
