This is a 1997, 38’ Newmar Kountry Aire, triple slide, triple axle, luxury fifth wheel. One owner with Mother in nursing home and just cannot travel anymore. In 1996, this unit sold for $72,500 and delivered a unique and practical Island/Center Kitchen floorplan. They literally don’t make them like this anymore as Newmar dropped their luxury fifth wheel line in 2015. While not quite as pristine, it’s as functional now as the day it was delivered and very well maintained. The fiberglass exterior is intact and coated with 5 coats of New Glass 2 and the decals were repainted in 2016. One area of minor delamination is evident and the decals show some cracking. The roof has been well maintained, shows signs of some wear, has a creased, but water tight corner (low hanging tree) and has some slight hail damage. It has three electric, cog drive slides measuring 16’ x 4’, 14’ x 2’ and 7’ x 2’ which, when extended, provide over 440 sf of living space (slide gaskets replaced 2017). Appliances/Amenities include 15K BTU ducted air conditioner (4 years old, cracked cover), 35K BTU ducted main heater (6 years old), 20K BTU ducted BR Heater, washer/dryer, dishwasher, 8 cuft gas/electric refrigerator, microwave, three burner range, oven, water filter system, 10 gl gas/electric remote ignition water heater, converter, dehumidifier, AM/FM/Cassette Player (antenna broken), dual batteries with disconnect, , CO2 detector, smoke alarm, two flat screen TVs (negotiable), fantastic fan (basic model, 4 years old), dual 40 gl propane tanks, dual, independently operated, heavy duty leveling jacks, TV antenna with booster, 16’ manual awning (faded but functional) and 100 gl fresh, gray and black water tanks with monitoring system (accurate? ). The bedroom area has a privacy screen from bath area, queen bed with under storage, all oak cabinetry, full 8’ cedar lined closet with shelves and clothes rod, make up area with desk, chair, hideaway mirror and lighting and storage galore. The bath area features fully ceramic tiled floor, a full size porcelain stool in separate potty room with vent, full size shower with skylight, sink with Corian top and ample storage and full width medicine cabinet with mirrors and excellent lighting. The dining area has an expandable oak table with four decorator chairs, a curio cabinet and 110v and 12v lighting. The Living Room area has a queen sleeper sofa, Lazy Boy swivel, rocking recliner, coffee table and fully lighted oak cabinetry across the rear housing the entertainment center, computer desk/work area and additional storage. The Island Kitchen is the gem of the floorplan, featuring multiple work areas, cutting board (newly installed), pull out pantry, lighted sink storage, Corian countertops, all oak cabinetry with massive storage and slide out pantry. The hardwood entry flooring has signs of wear and the carpeting has one large stain (football size), several small stains (quarter size) and one frayed edge. All slides when extended drop down to floor level; no step/tripping. An undetected, now fixed water leak caused some staining of the ceiling panels which are now being cleaned/restored with limited success. The below floor level storage capability is massive featuring 15 waterproof storage compartments (many with lighting) totaling more than 135 cuft of space (all gaskets replaced 2017). All wheels and electric brakes of the triple axles have been serviced in 2016 with two wheels completely rebuilt in 2017. The unit’s heavy duty pin box has been re-welded and reinforced in 2014 and is fully adjustable for height. There is just too much to list, as this is a Newmar built product…built to last. You can find a newer unit and a cheaper unit, but in this industry you actually get what you pay for. Many extra parts, tools and added items are negotiable. Assistance with delivery is possible.
