Vehicle description
We have bought another motor home, a Diesel pusher in order to tow a 2500 pickup truck and this one must go. We bought the Southwind in 2013 and since then we have toured over 45,000 miles in this great country. It has a 454 Chevy engine, 5000 watt onan generator (only 380 hours) with a remote start on the dash. The auto transmission has a gear vendor installed, it allows you to kick back half a gear at a time when climbing mountains and towing, you can choose to do this using the floor switch when revs drop or just set it to auto.
Definitely no leaks. As you can see in one of the pics we had a new rubber roof installed.
I have replaced most of the gas struts on lockers (all stay up). It has 2 furnaces, 2 air cons, Stove with an oven, Coffee maker, Microwave, TV, Radio, 2 roof vents with fans and Electric rear view mirrors. AND ALL WORK GOOD.
For a 21 year old motor home it is in great condition.
Listed below are upgrades and maintenance completed since we bought the RV.
• New rubber roof and clear skylight over shower
• New front coil springs and new air bags fitted front and rear
• New alternator, fan belt and engine battery
• New brake pads front and rear
• Spark plugs and ignition wires replaced
• Two new tires fitted 2016 and the other four in 2014
We are in Kalispell Montana at the moment
