Vehicle description
Please see all photos I bought this truck in the spring of 2014. It has not broken down a single time. It has a 400HP Detroit engine. The odometer says 1,083,089 miles (the ECM agrees). Based on the striping on the back of the cab, I would say this is probably a former Wal-Mart truck. I paid $8,500 for it when I bought it from a local nursery and then put it in the shop where I spent another $6,200 catching up all of the maintenance and repairing other various issues (I can provide the receipt). There is hardly any rust on the truck except some light surface rust (see pictures). Frame-rails have no rust and are in great shape.
The "Engine Stop" light has been on since the day I bought it. The repair shop (and the previous owner) says it has to do with the coolant sensor. The shop replaced the sensor for me and it stopped for a while, but is back on again. It has run perfectly that way for 4 years, so I have not chased the problem any further. The truck is always parked on gravel, so it is hard to see leaks, but I have only added maybe a gallon of oil and (no coolant) in a 4-year time frame. It has 22.5” tires that are virgin (not capped) and still have lots of tread life in them. Just installed 2 brand new batteries. I used the truck to pull my low boy trailer and equipment. Although I don"t have a tare weight on my low boy trailer, I would guess it to weigh 20,000 and my excavator weighed 36,000. So the truck had no problems handling 56,000 I have sold all of my heavy equipment and no longer need the truck. It is extremely dependable and I will be taking a loss at whatever price it sells at. Truck is being advertised locally. This truck has the 11.1L Detroit. It has NO jake brake. It DOES have cruise. AC does not work but may only need freon. The truck is being sold AS-IS, with NO REFUNDS OR WARRANTIES of any kind. Seller will allow the vehicle to remain at Seller address not more than 30 days after completion of sale to allow time for Buyer transportation arrangements. While at the Seller address, typical effort will be made to ensure the security and safety of the truck. HOWEVER, Seller IS NOT responsible for theft, vandalism, Act of God or any other event that may cause damage or loss while awaiting pickup. Insurance, loading and transport is at the sole risk, expense and liability of the Buyer.
