1993 AM General M1097 HMMWV H1 Military Humvee with Slant Back Top
Here is an extremely rare opportunity to own an original, unused Humvee that was NEVER PUT INTO SERVICE . This unit was delivered brand new to a defense contractor and was used for measuring and test fitting up armor components. The vehicle never left the contractor"s factory, which explains its ridiculously low mileage and unused condition. All 4 tires are date coded the 24th week of 1993. This is NOT a worn out, patched up Govplanet special or a depo rebuild. It starts, runs and drives like a brand new Humvee, which is essentially what it is.
Features the 6.2L diesel engine with automatic transmission. Also includes a slant back hard top and 2 rear X-doors from another Humvee. A few additional components are required to mount the top, but they"re not hard to find. Includes a radio rack, miscellaneous brackets and hardware. Also features 2 new Optima batteries and a KDS Smart Start Protective Control Box.
Roughly 60 mph is about all a person should expect out of this Humvee with its current gearing. It floats over rough terrain, but these aren"t exactly rocket ships on the highway in stock form.
The vehicle was sold "as is, where is" with a bill of sale from the defense contractor and I have not made an effort to title it, so it will likewise be sold with a bill of sale.
