Vehicle description

1992 Airstream Excella 1000. 34 foot tri axle, This is the King of travel trailers!
Pulls easily, we just completed a 1200 mile trip with 5 days of enjoyable camping at Gulf State Park. I"ve pulled this trailer and camped over 3000 miles in last 12 months with my 1/2 ton GMC Sierra. (I do have the tow package on the truck).
You already know it, the Airstreams are by far the best towable campers ever built. And in 1992, the Excella 1000 was the top of the Airstream line. These vintage campers feature solid oak cabinets, durable fabrics, quality fixtures, and weigh less than much smaller campers. (only 7100 pounds). Every time we set up, fellow campers drop by to talk about the Airstream. It gets a lot of admirers. It does have one significant exterior flaw. There is a dent in the lower streetside quarter panel. (see photos). The previous owner backed into a shrub at his home. it does not affect use, and I did get a quote of $2500 from Airstream dealer to replace the panel. Also the panel is sold online if you are DIY. It never slowed me down from enjoying the camper.
There are plenty of "vintage" fixer upper Airstreams on the market. Most need lots of work (and money) invested. This 1992 Airstream Excella 1000 is already a solid, reliable, spacious camper, and best of all . . Its ready to go!
New Air Conditioning (Atwood"s quiet, high efficiency, a/c and heat pump) New Water Heater (Dometic auto ignition) Newer Tires Electric Brakes (work perfectly) Cold Refrigerator (works on both AC or propane) Magic Chef 4 burner stove and oven Microwave Stainless Steel double Kitchen sink Corian countertops
Tons of Storage (main closet is cedar lined) Huge Closet No leaks No soft spots Weight distributing hitch included Beautiful functional Awnings New exterior stripes
Was originally purchased new by past president of Wally Bynum club (world"s largest Airstream club). I purchased from his estate. I have the original sales paperwork, and owners manual. Very comfortable, roomy interior in great condition. We replaced the dinette upholstery last season.
Please Note: While this camper is fully functionable, and ready to go, it is not nearly new. There is a dent in the rear streetside lower quarter panel, all is fully functional, buy if you want to repair, I was quoted $2500 by Airstream dealer to replace the panel. Also there are the typical dings, scrapes, and some hail pings in the forward body. "Character marks" associated with normal and careful use. Typical interior wear on carpets, furniture and fabrics expected with a well cared for vintage camper.
Important: Winner bidder must make $1000 deposit within 48 hours of auction end. Full payment within 7 days. Camper is located in Hot Springs Arkansas and is garage stored. Must be picked up. No delivery. Drive in to Hot Springs National Park and go camping in your Airstream! It"s a beautiful area.
