Up for sale is a 1988 Acura Integra RS racecar. This is a logbooked, sorted, race-ready SCCA ITA car.
This car has been in my family since new, purchased by my aunt in 1988 in Albuquerque. It was purchased by my father in 1996 and used as a daily driver and autocross car in ES and later HS. It became my first car in 2001. It"s autocross history included numerous regional class championships and a national tour event win in 2001. It began conversion into a track day and SCCA ITA roadrace car in 2002. The car has several regional class wins in the Rocky Mountain division, and has never DNF"d a race. It"s more recent history has been occasional use for track days, followed by a recent return to race ready condition. This is a New Mexico car that has never lived in a winter climate. It is completely rust free. The car was repainted with a quality, single-stage urethane finish in the original Honda Rio Red color in 2017.
This car carries SCCA logbook number 053-026. The roll cage door bars were updated in 2007 to meet the current GCR side intrusion rules with door bars extending into the door cavities. The belts and window net are current with 2017 dates. The car has a working, hard-wired AMB 260 DP transponder. This the older style of AMB transponder which does NOT require an annual subscription.
The car has a clean, original NM title in my name, although it is not street legal and has not been registered for street use since 2004. The car will come the SCCA logbook, original owners manual books, factory Honda service manual and extensive maintenance documentation from 1988 to present. Also included are a variety of spares, including a spare set of wheels with fresh practice rubber.
The car has a fresh oil change and tune up, and a brand new interstate battery. It is turn key ready for race or track day use.
