Vixen 21TD 1986
Im sorry but there was a mixup in listing so I had to relist.
A very unique cutting edge RV for 1986. Fits in home garage and roof raises for 6.5 head room when camping. Has all RV necessities including full double bed in back with dinette that makes up for another double bed. Seats 4 plus driver comfortably. Shower included in "head", alcohol stove top, 12 volt refrigerator with 12volt inverter to 110 volt to run microwave and other appliances. Has house AC when plugged into shore power, chassis air has been disconnected, compressor and condenser removed.
RV shows 154000 miles but engine has around 60-70000 miles. BMW M21 diesel runs very well and will get close to 30 MPG if you behave, I get 25-27 and run 75 all day long.
Has 5 speed manual transaxle. Has the very desirable (needed) low first gear modification with the best clutch I"ve ever had, a Kevlar faced clutch. The wonderful "Ackerman fix" that stops tire scuffing and wear.
Also has a Fantastic Fan installed in bedroom with automatic operation to open and close in rain.
Windshields were new 3 years ago, new side sliding tinted windows. Radiator updated with heavy duty core. Rad Fan is heavy duty Lincoln electric with new motor.
Converted to vacuum brakes, also high output alternator installed.
Most all lights are LED except headlights.
Has heavy duty coil springs all around with KYB shocks.
Could use new paint and there is damage to right front (see picture) that has been there since I"ve had it, I never got around to fixing and it doesn"t effect operation.
This Vixen was the executive demonstrator.
3 factory internal memos will go with vixen, see picture.
